Timeline: Halloween 2026

Years ago, I built a rapid prototype of this concept for a Halloween event. While it was visually successful, the internal materials weren't pest-proof, and local wildlife eventually destroyed it.

This year, I am building the V2 "Enhanced Edition" as my first major project of the season. Because of what happened to the original, this iteration is entirely focused on upgraded fabrication techniques, heavy-duty weatherproofing, and durable materials. Alongside this massive hero build, my studio is also producing a series of smaller Halloween decor projects to bring new, immersive spooky elements to the property.

This upcoming piece is a massive, 8-foot-tall monolithic sculpture built heavily around UV-reactive designs and lighting

To bring this piece to life, I am utilizing a variety of techniques and materials, including:

  • Custom Casting: Sculpting and casting paper mache molds of hands, wolf heads, and other creepy elements.

  • Structural Fabrication: Engineering a heavy-duty wood and wire frame for the tree, finished with textured paper mache bark.

  • UV Resin Integration: Pouring and curing custom UV resin leaves and utilizing resin to accent biological features on the tree.

  • Special Effects: Integrating an internal fog machine with custom-routed tubing to create dynamic, atmospheric fog effects seeping directly from the tree structure.

I am currently undertaking a massive primary bedroom remodel that completely reimagines the space into a cozy, modern, and natural smart-environment.

While the standard structural framing is happening behind the scenes, this core video series focuses strictly on high-impact, custom fabrications and advanced automation. Key deliverables include a bespoke bed, a seamlessly integrated dog crate, and a highly detailed ceiling utilizing custom 3D-modeled brackets. The centerpiece is a massive feature wall incorporating a built-in water feature, gesture-controlled secret doors, and concealed dynamic features —including a hidden fitness and dance pole.

To bring this complex space to life, the build relies heavily on the following techniques:

  • 3D Modeling & Printing: Engineering custom support brackets for the wooden ceiling tiles to create internal routing space for water lines, wiring, and lighting effects.

  • Structural Fabrication & Soundproofing: Building ultra-strong, polished framing with premium soundproofing to house the room's mechanical compartments and hidden features.

  • Resin Fabrication: Crafting custom accent tiles and a built-in resin fish tank integrated directly into the dog crate structure.

  • Special Effects: Wiring comprehensive RGB backlighting across the entire ceiling and feature wall, paired with a built-in UV water feature.

  • Smart Home Automation: Utilizing advanced custom scripting (currently testing Google's Script Editor) to program gesture-controlled access. Swiping a hand over a specific resin tile will trigger a synchronized lighting effect, pause the water feature, and automatically open the concealed hourglass-shaped closet and bathroom doors.

I am currently designing a massive, modular water feature for my front yard that will physically evolve with the seasons.

The core of the build involves creating custom silicone molds to cast highly realistic, reinforced concrete faux boulders. From there, I will integrate epoxy resin and embedded fiber optics directly into the casting. This modular base allows me to swap out accent elements, completely shifting the color palette and mood to match the time of year. To push the visual boundaries further, I am incorporating UV-reactive elements so the water and surrounding textures glow dynamically at night.

  • Structural Fabrication: Engineering heavy-duty, reinforced concrete boulders that are modular, serviceable, and safely interchangeable.

  • Resin Fabrication: Heavy integration of casting resins to create bioluminescent, illuminated "cracks" mapped throughout the stone structures.

  • Special Effects: Wiring comprehensive RGB backlighting across all rocks and changeable features, anchored by water treated to glow an ambient light blue at night.

  • Smart Home Automation: Utilizing advanced custom scripting (currently testing Google's Script Editor) to program proximity and gesture-controlled access, allowing the fountain to react dynamically to movement.
